(Dublin: 18 May 08) At lunchtime today, campaigners from around the world welcomed the Irish Ban Bus to Dublin. Australian campaigner John Rodsted and Norwegian development expert Mette Eliseuessen have been touring around Ireland and Northern Ireland to raise public awareness on the need to create a strong treaty banning cluster bombs. (Dublin: 17 May 08) Today I attended the first day of a weekend of organising meetings by the Cluster Munition Coalition to prepare campaigners for the Dublin negotiations of the cluster bomb ban treaty. A total of 280 campaigners from 64 countries have registered to attend this conference, which opens Monday 19 May. Read more
